I think the one way to find out which merchandise is best for your needs is always to experiment and check out for yourself. Among my favourites that I have been using for a while now could be argan oil.

Sometimes termed as ‘liquid gold’, it is just a natural product, taken from the kernels from the argan tree which is native to Morocco. It is used as a moisturiser plus in products to tend nice hair. This is due to the fact that the oil features a high nutrient content and it is rich in fatty acids, anti-oxidants and vitamin E that’s vital for healthy hair and skin. Today the kernels are mechanically cold pressed (heat damages the oil’s chemical properties). The tree is rare, extracting the oil is labour intensive… hence the high price. However, the good news is a bit oil goes further.

The scarcity in the argan tree is where the challenge lies. There are many products on the market now that contain argan oil or are marketed as ‘argan oil’ or ‘Moroccan oil’. However if you simply check out the label, you’ll find often other ingredients (including silicon) in larger quantities as opposed to actual argan oil. Cosmetic companies have to strive to ensure that the provision of argan oil is sustainable and of an exceptional, untainted by other oils or substances.

How do we know you will get the real deal? Should you be purchasing a product containing argan oil – look at the ingredients. Be aware of ‘argania spinosa kernel oil’, it must be up high the ingredients list and ideally, the merchandise should contain as few ingredients as you possibly can. The greater substances that the oil is when combined, the less efficient the oil will probably be. If you are buying pure argan oil, ensure it is inside a dark coloured bottle because light passing by way of a clear bottle can break up the oil’s chemical properties. Some items that are marketed as argan oil also have a carrier oil like olive or sunflower oil. Even be aware of the price you might be paying.
