Training in Miracles can be so pure, so wonderful, so powerful, a whole bunch more spiritually advanced than some other bit of our planet’s literature (past and provides), that you must actually feel it to believe it. But those whose minds are far too mounted on worldly thoughts, and lack the underlying thirst for true spiritual knowledge that’s needed for its understanding, won’t comprehend one particular whole page. That is not because A Course in Miracles is confusing – to the contrary its principles are remarkably simple – but alternatively because it’s the character of spiritual knowledge that runners that are not ready to comprehend it, just cannot comprehend it. As stated inside the Bible, at the beginning of the novel of John: “The light shineth in darkness, and darkness comprehended it not”.
Ever since I first became alert to the majestic and awe-inspiring presence of God, We have enjoyed reading many wonderful spiritual works like the Bible (my favorite parts include the Sermon for the Mount and Psalms), the Bhagavad-Gita, the Upanishads, the Koran and the poetry of Kabir and Rumi. None of them come near to the greatness of your Course in Miracles. Reading it with an open mind and heart, your fears and troubles wash away. You in turn become alert to an outstanding love deep inside you – deeper than what you knew before. The near future starts to seem so bright to suit your needs you. You’re feeling adoration for everyone including those you previously have attemptedto leave excluded. These experiences have become powerful at times throw you off balance a bit, but it’s worth it: Training in Miracles outlines an affection so peaceful, so strong therefore universal – you’ll wonder how numerous world’s religions, whose aim is supposedly the same experience, got so off track.
I must say here for any Christian who feels that his church’s teachings do not truly satisfy his thirst to find out a kind, merciful and loving God, but is somewhat afraid you just read this course as a consequence of others’ claims that it’s inconsistent with “true” Christianity: Don’t get worried! I have browse the gospels many times and I guarantee that a Course in Miracles is very consistent with Jesus’ teachings when he was on earth. Don’t fear the fanatical defenders of exclusionist dogma – these the indegent think themselves to be the only carriers of Jesus’ message, as well as the only ones worthy of his blessings, while all the other will go to hell. A training course in Miracles reflects Jesus’ true message: unconditional passion for *all people*. While he was in the world, Jesus thought to judge a tree by its fruit. So give it a try and see how a fruits that ripen in your life taste. Whenever they taste bad, it is possible to abandon A training course in Miracles. But when they taste as sweet as mine do, and also the millions of other true seekers that have found A Course in Miracles to become nothing more than a heavenly treasure, then congratulations – and could your heart be abundantly stuffed with peaceful, loving joy.
