What’s E-Juice: E-Juice Guide
Some people think of it as Juice while others may call it Liquid or E-Liquid, but for the sake of clarity on this Tutorial we’re going to refer to it as E-Juice from this level to come. So what exactly is E-Juice and what purpose will it serve? E-Juice is really a liquid that is widely used in the electric cigarette / personal vaporizer. The electronic cigarette / personal vaporizer warms up the E-Juice and turns it into vapor which is then inhaled. E-Juice may or may not contain nicotine and comes in 1000s of flavors to choose from.

Common Ingredients:
E-Juice typically includes a blend of Propylene Glycol (PG), Vegetable Glycerin (VG), Sterilized water, Ethyl Alcohol, Nicotine and Flavoring or Extracts. More resources for Propylene Glycol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerin (VG), check out our Tutorial: Propylene Glycol (PG) vs. Vegetable Glycerin (VG) E-juice. Not every E-Juice contains the same ratio of PG to VG mixture, although some E-Juices use flavoring others might use extracts which are more complex and expensive to generate. E-Juices change from simple single flavors to complex multiple flavors that taste completely different from inhale, to exhale, and lastly the after taste. Some uncommon ingredients like vitamins and caffeine have been infused into E-Juices too.

Economy VS Premium E-Juice:
Considering Propylene Glycol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerin (VG) would be the two most common ingredients in E-Juice, they are the cause of approximately 90% of the content inside the bottle. The rest of the 10% provides the nicotine and flavoring or extracts. Many economy E-Juices use food grade flavoring and package their E-Juice in plastic bottles. Premium E-Juices may use multiple food-grade flavor extracts and package their E-Juices in glass bottles with fancy packaging. The quality of nicotine, single or multiple flavors, plastic or glass bottles, and complex flavor recipes all factor in the development of an Economy or best e-juice.

Steeping Your E-Juice:
Steeping your E-Juice is just like letting a great wine age, and will typically draw out a deeper and smoother flavor as time passes. Shake your E-Juice a long time before steeping to be sure the mix is very homogenized. If the E-Juice flavor is for the strong side, you’ll be able to get rid of the top cap and allow the bottle breathe a bit to mellow the flavor. If your E-Juice flavor is about the weaker side, leave the superior cap on make the bottle in a dark cool location for a couple days or a full week. The very last option is placing your E-Juice bottle within a domestic hot water bath and repeating the method a couple of times after the water becomes 70 degrees.

The grounds behind Dark E-Juice:
As E-Juice inside a bottle ages, it’s going to darken over time because of nicotine oxidation. The share of nicotine within your E-Juice also plays a substantial role concerning how dark the E-Juice initially appears. Certain flavors or extracts could also make your E-Juice darker. You may notice your E-Juice getting darker inside your tank while you are vaping, this can be probably happening due to wick and coil becoming caramelized and staining your E-Juice in the tank a darker color. This can also occur if the tank is becoming hot between vaping sessions and accelerating the nicotine oxidation procedure that would normally occur over time naturally.

E-Juice Storage Practices:
E-Juice is extremely responsive to light and also heat, and both will increase the process of nicotine oxidation. Storing your E-Juice bottles in the dark cool dry place will slow this process down and preserve the original flavor longer. Extreme temperature changes also affects E-Juices within a negative way, so don’t leave them in your car on extremely hot or cold days. For too long term storage, you’ll be able to safely store your E-Juice bottles within your refrigerator until you’re willing to vape them. Last but not least, glass bottles seem to be much better than plastic for lengthy term storage of the favorite E-Juice.

Choosing an E-Juice Nicotine Strength:
An advanced non-smoker and would like to try vaping without nicotine, E-Juice can be obtained without nicotine for the vaping pleasure. For all you potential ex-smokers on the market planning to quit the icky sticks, E-Juice nicotine levels ranges anywhere from 3mg/ml (.3%) to 24mg/ml (2.4%) or older. Light smokers who smoke under 10 cigarettes a day may consider trying a 3mg to 6mg E-Juice to begin on. Medium smokers who smoke up to 20 cigarettes a day may consider trying a 6mg to 12mg E-Juice to begin on. Heavy smokers who smoke more than 30+ cigarettes per day may consider trying a 12mg to 24mg E-Juice to start. The kind of e-cigarette / personal vaporizer you employ also factors in on your starting nicotine level.
