For a long time I’ve been not able to catch this broadway tour in multiple cities. Something happens to be in the way. Between work, travel and the rest I usually missed this show. The dancing was simply captivating. It took me back to my days in a dance company. The performers executed choreography seamlessly while gliding about the stage with grace. I saw a number of ballerinas too. They are among the hardest working teams I’ve ever witnessed on any platform.

Young Simba and Nala were remarkable performers. I could tell that they labored in their craft and understood blocking. It is vital for young performers to understand the skill. It should come from a real place. I do not even know them however i am proud.

Greg Jackson performed the part of Zazu. I kept track of him the whole time. He blew my thoughts together with his quick wit while handling his puppet. I loved it!

Timon and Pumbaa were just as I remembered them as a child. The rebel duo of the jungle. Their props were impressive. I couldn’t help but to sing in addition to “Hakuna Matata”.

Mark Campbell literally part of Scar much too well. His headpiece was fun to look at too. The past scene with Mufasa is still hard to watch. My heart sank because he fell to his death.

Adult Simba was played by Gerald Ceasar. His portrayal was noteworthy. There wasn’t any doubt which he was the real king.

Nia Holloway was extraordinary as Nala. From her costume for the delivery of her lines, she was phenomenal. Recently i heard that they attended school in Georgia. Yes, another budding star from the peach state!

After a while, I actually started to feel that these actors were real animals. Their movements were very similar to the animal kingdom. Using their feathers, full mane and thoroughly crafted cloths this is an experience that you can only fully appreciate live.

Audiences were drawn in with what happened facing them, however it wouldn’t be possible without those under the surface. Experience has taught me so much in regards to the industry. Especially how vital background staff are. I applaud all of the unseen heroes that helped to create this kind of magnificent show successful.
