Copyright holders, in addition to YouTube (to use a well-known example), have, within the last number of years, been cracking down on people using copyrighted music without permission. Tributes & covers of songs, needless to say, have already been somewhat “riding the fence” of legality, the place that the artists gives their due credit to the composer/lyricist showcased and offers a disclaimer inside their video description which says “this just isn’t my work, I do not own the rights to this music,” and so they generally get left alone, pretty much.
Obviously, though, its not all videos with music included are covers or tributes. Other videos are often sales pitches, or vlogs featuring meditation music. Unpleasant for including music in any way, it is something of an embarrassment for any video creator whether they have to get rid of or replace the music inside their video for the reason that music was copyrighted, along with the creator had their video monetized. And also, since not every content creator on the market earns plenty of cash from other videos, they likely can’t afford to spend the royalty fees required of which, so they’re instructed to eliminate the music.
And not everybody is a musician and/or lyricist income compose their very own works. Nor does everyone have a very musician pal that they can, whether that musician gets paid for ditties and jingles or otherwise not. So music licensing is often to the one allowing the video to get either free music, or anyway, royalty-free tracks. But how to locate such music? And is also the disposable music you’d find high quality?
In fact, back in the day that many stock music libraries was lacking music which was very good quality, and several music libraries are still such as this if the people uploading tracks used cheap equipment and synthesizers where the built-in digital sound banks aren’t very accurately sampled & reproduced (this will happen with lower-end electronic keyboards).
However, with thanks to the advent of MP3s plus more professional-grade composition & editing software, among other similar advances, most stock music libraries currently often have truly stunning tracks obtainable in a wide variety of genres, so you are not bound to only a few samples in some places of 1 style, and lots of samples in another style, and zilch to speak of in any other genre.
