The moment should the wonderful wedding speech be delivered…?

How weddings have changed in the decades! Coming from a handful to 400-500 invited guests; one-two to six-eight bridal party members; a simple wedding car to expensive and enormous wedding cars; three course meals to six course meals; 1 to 3 live bands; simple attire to colorful and flamboyant dresses, suits and attire and off-the-cuff to well-prepared wedding speeches.

While we’re talking about the latter, wedding speeches remain an important part of a marriage and guests do enjoy hearing them, speaking about them before, during and indeed after they’ve been delivered.

We are all aware of wedding speeches delivered prior to meal, during the meal and after your food, yet it is of your strong opinion that the wedding speeches needs to be delivered following the meal. I understand that for most wedding party speakers i.e. Father from the Bride Speech, Father with the Groom Speech, Bride Speech, Groom Speech and Bestman Speech (the five main speakers), they will want to contain the wedding speeches before the meal, to enable them to enjoy their meal (a lot of them are spending money for it!). However, it’s all about the invited guests and the way many (as well as the wedding ceremony venue staff) would choose the wedding ceremony speeches to get delivered following the meal for many reasons, some of which include:

The invited guests are already fed and watered and are not listening to wedding speeches before eating anything (at least of food, which could be before the meal, though weddings today do provide light snacks upon arrival in the wedding venue)
Food could be cooked and served at the agreed time (introduce wedding ceremony speeches before the meal along with their might be a delay of 15 minutes to a single.5 hours, driving the kitchen staff crazy attempting to keep food freshly cooked, presentable and edible)
Wedding ceremony speeches behave as the transition through the meal on the dancing (broke and alone happening following your meal, folks are expecting ‘a few words’ to become shared regarding the Bride & Groom after which it they do know they can get out of bed, maneuver around, take a rest, take a stroll, go to the bar…)
It can be hard for folks in the Bride & Groom to communicate in public places, as the majority of them may not be used than it. So, they might, if they so wished, speak before the / their meal.

There should always be some form of formal wedding speech(es) as soon as the meal…
