The moment should the amazing wedding speech be presented…?

How weddings have changed over the decades! From the handful to 400-500 invited guests; one-two to six-eight marriage ceremony members; a fairly easy wedding car to expensive and big wedding cars; three course meals to course meals; one-three live bands; simple attire to colorful and flamboyant dresses, suits and attire and off-the-cuff to well-prepared wedding speeches.

These are rogues, wedding speeches continue to be an important part of a wedding and guests do anticipate hearing them, speaking about them before, during and indeed after they’ve been delivered.

We have all heard of wedding speeches delivered ahead of the meal, throughout the meal after the meal, yet it’s of your strong opinion that this father of the bride speech ought to be delivered after the meal. I am aware that for many wedding party speakers i.e. Father in the Bride Speech, Father with the Groom Speech, Bride Speech, Groom Speech and Bestman Speech (the 5 main speakers), they would prefer to hold the wedding speeches ahead of the meal, so they can enjoy their meal (some of them are spending money for it!). However, all is here the invited guests and how a lot of them (and even the wedding ceremony venue staff) would choose the marriage speeches being delivered following the meal for many reasons, many of which include:

The invited guests happen to be fed and watered and aren’t paying attention to wedding speeches before eating anything (at least of food, which will be the case before the meal, though weddings today do provide light snacks upon arrival on the wedding venue)
Food could be cooked and served in the agreed time (introduce the wedding speeches ahead of the meal and their might be a delay of 15 minutes to at least one.5 hours, driving your home staff crazy attempting to keep food freshly cooked, presentable and edible)
The wedding speeches become the transition from your meal on the dancing (without a penny happening as soon as the meal, people are expecting ‘a few words’ being shared concerning the Bride & Groom and they know they are able to get out of bed, maneuver around, come out, go for a walk, navigate to the bar…)
It can be hard for moms and dads of the Bride & Groom to talk in public, the majority of them would not be used from it. So, they may, should they so wished, speak before the / their meal.

There should nevertheless be some form of formal wedding speech(es) following the meal…
