How weddings have changed in the decades! From the handful to 400-500 invited guests; one-two to six-eight bridal party members; an easy wedding car to expensive and large wedding cars; three course meals in order to six course meals; 1-3 live bands; simple attire to colorful and flamboyant dresses, suits and attire and off-the-cuff to well-prepared wedding speeches.
While we’re talking about aforementioned, wedding speeches are still an important part of a marriage and guests do look ahead to hearing them, talking about them before, during and indeed after they’ve been delivered.
We are all aware of wedding speeches delivered before the meal, during the meal after your food, however it is of your strong opinion that this wedding speeches ought to be delivered following the meal. I understand that for a lot of wedding ceremony speakers i.e. Father with the Bride Speech, Father in the father of the bride speech (the five main speakers), they will prefer to have the wedding speeches prior to the meal, to allow them to enjoy their meal (many of them are paying for it!). However, it is all about the invited guests and exactly how most of them (as wll as the marriage venue staff) would like the wedding speeches being delivered as soon as the meal for several reasons, some of which include:
The invited guests have already been fed and watered and are not listening to wedding speeches before eating anything (at least of food, which may be prior to the meal, though weddings today do provide light snacks upon arrival in the wedding venue)
Food can be cooked and served at the agreed time (introduce the wedding ceremony speeches prior to the meal along with their can be quite a delay of 15 minutes one.5 hours, driving the kitchen staff crazy attempting to keep food freshly cooked, presentable and edible)
The marriage speeches behave as the transition from the meal for the dancing (without a penny happening following your meal, everyone is expecting ‘a few words’ to get shared concerning the Bride & Groom and they do know they are able to get out of bed, move, have a break, go for a walk, navigate to the bar…)
It’s not easy for folks from the Bride & Groom to communicate in in public areas, as the majority of them would not be used of computer. So, they may, whenever they so wished, speak ahead of the / their meal.
There should be some form of formal speech(es) following the meal…
