Saturday’s “To Do” list gets underway with Head to Currently have!
Planning my route the night time before, testing my gps on my cell phone and circling the garage sale listings inside the paper really are a Friday night ritual.

It really is separated into Sections every section is presented by directions. The “P” section is made up of streets beginning with the letter P: Perkins, Parking, Parkins, Penny. You get the idea! Within the P section, there are several retirees and young professionals. The W section is considered the rich and ritzy area of town Then your B section is older and sadly, more rundown. The R section is packed with young couples with children. The S Section is south of town and thought of within the boondocks just because the lots are larger and yes it feels more country. Last but not least, the C Section is when the canals, intracoastal, boats, boats plus more boaters live. Each section possesses its own characteristics and community. Though we’re all area of the larger town, these “sections” develop over town to attract some ambience. The spot with plenty of children have 2 elementary schools and sidewalks throughout. The “Country” a part of town has no street lights and is over beaten track from the most town. But, town overall has rules and regulations and laws we all make an effort to abide.

We’re allowed Two rummage sales each year. We are required to buy a $5 permit for every of the sales and our signage is found and destroyed by noon on Saturday mornings. It isn’t a conducive atmosphere to get a Yard sale Business out of your home!
Some individuals have ignored all the rules, communicated with their neighbors about their needs and plans and create a fairly good living sporting the garage sale event monthly! However when they get caught disobeying the guidelines, they feign innocence towards the rules and promise to not ever repeat the process! But, 2-3 weeks later when stuff has calmed back off, there may suddenly be another garage sale! Many people in the neighborhood could care less and life continues on!
Around the Wednesday before the Friday/Saturday Garage Sale rush, a listing of all sales comes out within our local shopping guide, The Pennysaver. People list their address, starting time and date of sale along with a handful of “hook” items which will attract the throngs of super sale seekers. I faithfully pour within the Pennysaver dividing the sale addresses into town’s sections and plot my Saturday journey!
I leave for your sales until around 11am since most of those sales end by 1 or 2pm. Therefore, as soon as I recieve to the sale, people decide to put up for sale all of the their stuff for virtually every price you are offering them. Ever since i am NEVER trying to find anything in particular… just real deals, I’ve been able to purchase (without negotiation) entire rooms of furniture, enormous collections of old china and enough fabric to stitch clothes for a under-developed nation! And I got it for approximately $5!!! I’ve a weekly budget of around $20 for garage sales and just maybe once or twice have I ever gone over that amount!!!
So, with this weekend, I will be plotting out about 10 sales within a 10 mile range of home. Let me leave at 11 am and be back by 3pm and I know….The rear seat with the car will be LOADED!!!!
