Shri Radhe Maa is really a spiritual luminary born in a small capital of scotland – Dorangla in Punjab. At that young age where other girls were playing with their dolls, she chose to completely devote her time towards bhakti of Lord Shiva and Devi Mata. When she turned 18, Radhe Maa’s was married to Mohan Singh, an excellent businessman surviving in Mukerian, Punjab.
This marriage was to be considered a turning point in Shri Radhe Maa Ji’s journey towards spirituality. Throughout a trip to an old Lord Shiva temple, she met Shri Shri 1008 Mahant Ramdeen Das (139-years-old during his death last year according government records), a very acclaimed saint who turned her spiritual life around. “Chandi (a fierce kind of the Devi) has graced this temple today,” said the Mahant. From that day onwards, she started to look at the temple every single day and provide worship to Lord Shiva.
While attending household chores that have been a part of her duties, she continued her tryst with spiritual devotion. Radhe Guru Maa’s sensitive, kind, generous and resplendent personality attracted numerous devotees to her. Her devotees requested her to carry satsangs, jagrans, pujas and other religious services in and around their vicinity. She responded by graciously throwing her doors open to all who wished to attend. Several families credited the jagrans with solving their personal, financial, familial and professional problems.
As her reputation spread, individuals along with families invited her for their homes with the aspiration that her presence would inspire their lives for that better. Her subsequent travels took her not just in cities in India, but also to locations throughout the world, like the UK, Switzerland, Middle East and Canada. Devotees are not expected to donate towards Shri Radhe Maa’s darshan. The food served at her gatherings, the musical performances as well as the Darshans are free. Her teachings revolve around the leading of surrendering oneself to God, and regular bhakti in the form of ritualistic worship and devotional chanting of the names with the Hindu deities Lord Shiva and Devi Mata.
She currently resides in Mumbai with all the Gupta family, who’re true devotees of Radhe Maa. A Mata ki Chowki is carried out by them every 15 days at Shri Radhe Maa Bhavan in Borivali, which can be open to all with no exception. Heartwarming bhajans and prayers are available to Lord Shiva and Durga Mata. Shri Radhe Maa also blesses her followers about the nights the chowki.
