Sexual assault has affected our global society for well over 10,000 years. We allow predators to roam free in broad daylight and don’t make any move to curtail their behavior. In many cases every time a part of modern society is peril we rush to fix them, as it has a detrimental relation to the complete. Sadly, sexual assault, sexual harassment, physical abuse, and neglect against girls and women doesn’t even obtain a nod.

“We are the only animal on this planet that repeatedly abuses and sexually assaults the smaller and weaker of the species for entertainment or sport. We’ve got turn into a predatory global society that isn’t willing to manage predatory behavior towards girls and women.”

Why are sexual assault and the other predatory behaviors toward girls and women permitted to happen in a data rich global society? Allow me to share some facts and a possible approach toward ways of ending sexual assault.

Sexual violence is a devastating crime where self-esteem, self-worth, trust and confidence are destroyed. Both mental and physical health complications arise and may continue through the entire victim’s life. The capacity to hold down a career, support oneself and contribute productively to society is all undermined. Quality of life, wellness happiness, autonomy and security are damaged by sexual violence.

Sexual violence devastates individuals,families and communities. Distrust and fear permeates our communities and defines how members live amongst the other. We develop a lesser community along with a lesser society for all of us to exist in.

Sexual violence is a travesty up against the fundamental and inalienable Universal Promise of Human Rights.

Sexual violence against women reflects fundamental gender inequality and perpetuates it. A culture it doesn’t value a ladies voice could have trouble respecting a female’s directly to choose who or what she is going to take part in.

Violence against women cost america public over $200 Billion annually.

Sexual violence is less likely to be reported, being prosecuted, and also to lead to conviction than other crimes. A criminal offense which can’t be successfully prosecuted is, in effect, a “Non-Crime”. Society tacitly condones a “non-crime” being a crime without any punishment.

Sexual violence is surely an act of terrorism intended to create fear, perpetuate women’s vulnerability, and therefore their inferiority

We could end sexual violence through real education about women’s full and equal rights, respectful relationships, and real consequences for criminal behavior.
To end this barbaric crime, victims must break their silence to create these senseless assaults for an end. We must believe like a society that we’ll not tolerate this behavior. Sexual assault has no put in place our families, communities, and nation.
