www.onlinesbi.com of India, country’s largest public sector lender, has brought in many new rules because of its customers. The financial institution has become world’s 45thlargest lender after merger with five sister banks and Bharatiya Mahila Bank.

SBI’s new norms pertain to minimum balance requirement in savings bank accounts, amended service charges, cool product tax rates, renewed locker fees, charges for availing new cheque books and more, based on Zee News.

Most prominent of these changed rules are based on customers who hold savings accounts at metro, urban, semi-urban and rural branches. The lender makes mandatory upkeep of minimum balance over these accounts from April 1.

This is a primer on which the changed rules entail SBI people to do.

1) From April 1, all SBI savings bank account holders is going to be necessary to maintain stipulated minimum balance inside their accounts. The bank has categorised its customers under metro, urban, semi-urban and rural brackets.

2) The very least balance element Rs 5,000 may be fixed with an account holder at a branch in a metro city. Similarly, account holders in urban, semi-urban and rural SBI bank branches must maintain Rs 3,000, Rs 2,000 and Rs 1,000 respectively.

3) SBI in addition has formulated new rules for money transactions particularly at its atm booths. Under new rules, an SBI debit card holder will probably be allowed five free transactions at its ATMs. Besides, you will have a charge of Rs 20 for any fourth transaction for bank card holders of other banks.

The lender begins charging Rs 50 following the first three cash deposits of the month. This limit is prescribed to save accounts.
For current members the bucks transaction charges is as high as Rs 20,000

In metropolitan areas like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Bengaluru there will be electric power charge of Rs 100 plus service tax, in the event the balance goes below 75 percent of the minimum average balance.

Cash withdrawal from ATMs will probably be charged after the first three transaction for other banks and first five transactions from SBI ATMs.
The account holder will probably be charged Rs 20 after the three transactions off their bank ATMs and will also be charged Rs 10 for withdrawals from SBI ATMs.
Gone will be the charge on withdrawals from SBI ATMs if the account holder maintains a minimum balance of Rs 25,000
In
Rs 15 is going to be charged for SMS alerts per quarter from debit card holders who find a way to maintain average quarterly balance up to Rs 25,000 during the 3 months period.
There won’t be any charge for UPI/ USSD transactions of up to Rs 1000.
