I’m not sure when I first heard about course in miracles. I do know that we purchased the ebook in March 2009 because I wrote the date in the cover.

After i experimented with see clearly, however, I merely couldn’t be aware of it. The appearance of writing was perplexing. The ideas it contained baffled me. I had never encountered such teachings. I wasn’t quite ready for it and quickly place it aside.

Then one day, a dear friend suggested that individuals form research group to operate on the Course. I think he was simply as bewildered because of it as I was. But his suggestion was wise. He knew we will do together that which you had not been capable of alone.

So a few us met the first time in July 2009. During this meeting, we experimented with read a number of pages with the Text — which forms this course combined with Workbook for college kids as well as the Manual for Teachers. That which you read in this first meeting made little sense to us. It left us frustrated.

Somehow — and that i don’t remember how — we thought we would turn instead to the Workbook for college kids, using its 365 daily lessons. We must have been divinely inspired with this decision, because it assisted us and contains continued to operate from the time.

Now, a lot more than 2 yrs later, we’re well in to the Workbook to get a second time. The daily lessons and in many cases the Text now make perfect sense. Now i look forward to doing the lessons each day after getting my first cup of coffee. I look forward to using the teachings included in the lessons into meditation where I will discuss these with my spirit guides. I look forward to the weekly study get togethers where we review and discuss the lessons that individuals worked on individually through the entire week.

ACIM has completely revolutionized my understanding of the world, and that i are becoming devoted to it. The study get togethers normally leave me in a condition of bliss, because ACIM is assisting me remember all the things I knew when still in spirit but forgot when I drew the veil of forgetfulness over me and incarnated into this physical world.

Here’s one example of precisely how this course is different my understanding of the world: I did before believe that this physical world is real which is made by God, nature, and also other forces external if you ask me. Now i understand that I have been tricked by my five senses into believing this world is real. Now i understand that it was I who made the kind of world I see around me as well as my experiences inside. What I see “out there” is actually just a projection of what is taking place inside my own mind. This physical world is surely an illusion, a hologram through which I will play and learn. None of it is real — I got all up!

Thus, I am accountable for the level of world I see around me and all my experiences inside. I’m not a sufferer of life’s circumstances after all. Most people are not abusing me. God just isn’t punishing me. I see what I see, I experience what I experience, and that i feel what I feel because I choose to do so inside my own mind.

There’s no point in going “out there” to change a specific item on earth. You can not control, manipulate, or correct it. This would be like visiting a movie theatre and stomping up to tear down the screen simply because you dislike the show you’re watching.

Inside your change a specific item on screen is to locate the projector at the rear of the theater and alter the video. The right way to change a specific item “out there” on earth would be to change what’s “in here” in your mind. Improve your beliefs. Stop judging and condemning. Begin to practice unconditional love and acceptance. Once you make it happen, the world you see “out there” will start to change. You no longer will probably be trapped in unhappiness, pain, and suffering.

ACIM is pretty simple and unequivocal about this: You can remain asleep with this physical illusion, dreaming that it’s real, so long as you like. Or you can awaken spiritually and see that you have been asleep in Heaven all along. Jesus Himself declared that Heaven is here now, at our disposal, but we’ve not had the ability to find it. Even as we awaken from your desire this physical illusion, i will be capable of experience Heaven in this article on Earth.
