The Poly Macau Art Auction has held again until today on the Regency Art Hotel. The kinds include Chinese and Asian Contemporary and modern Art, Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Chinese Ceramics and Artwork as well as Jewels and Prestige Collections.
Masterpieces of Chinese modern art maestros is going to be displayed to represent the major developments of Chinese contemporary art history, including Wu Guangzhong’s “Snowscape in Beijing”, which can be estimated for sale at HKD14 million as much as HKD28 million.

Sabrina Ho, director of Poly Macau and Stanley ho daughter and Angela Leong, said that the event is co-organized by Poly Macau and Chiu Yeng Culture. “I hope which a number of cultural events [organized with the two companies] can bring to Macau new aspects that will permit to keep the diversification in the economy,” said Ho, who also expects that artists and art collectors worldwide continually support Macau as a possible art platform.
“We continually bring Macau more diversified cultural activities, and [will support] Macau to develop itself being a global art platform,” said Ho and “hopefully that Macau can become a well- known art capital down the road.”
Regency Hotel opened in 1983 and contains endured past business closures. Ho, however, hopes to transform into an art form hotel. “In Macau, there may be many resplendent big hotels, however the number of hotels which can be employed for art or even some creational events is, in fact, much less great,” said Ho.
