A brand new 2016 Christmas rock n roll song has been written, composed and then recorded in a Phuket recording studio in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main purpose of providing attention and exposure for the Phuket charity and Orphanage that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day, Phuket web site .
The tracks name is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the tracks sound is a unique up-tempo rock n roll track. Mark wrote and partially recorded a demo music guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in late 2015 on Phuket island and has kept the demo track since then looking forward to the possibility to record once again. In late August 2016 Mark began the recording process and used local session players to studio record the music over a 6 week period. The track consists of 8 separate tracks and all session players were from the Philippines, including the lead vocalist ‘Micah Javier’.
Although I’m coming home for Christmas was recorded on Phuket island the mixing and mastering was made in the United States because of Mark needed the very best outcome and quality. The song ready to be listened to and downloaded by visiting the ‘Tsunami Day’ Website.
The key goal of studio recording I’m coming home for Christmas is to bring as many people to the Tsunami Day site as we are able to and then we hope in-turn they’ll be good enough to contribute to at least one or all of the Phuket charities, and to also buy the track.
One other definitive goal is to get enough downloads of the tune to help fund and setup a Phuket live music bar with open stage and recording studio / training room on Phuket, that’ll provide free lessons and tuition to local underprivileged children from the neighborhood colleges and children’s orphanages. To date ‘La QingTing’ isn’t currently open right now but the web site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you’re wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day web site to advertise his music Tsunami Day that was influenced from his own particular experiences while he was living in Patong back in 2004 when the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day. Just like ‘I’m Coming Home For Christmas’the song Tsunami Day also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and children’s Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site there’s numerous ways to greatly help including a Phuket Villa and budget flights to Thailand booking system. Every cent helps.
