A fresh 2016 Christmas rock song has been written, composed and then studio recorded in a Phuket recording studio in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main aim of getting attention and exposure for the Phuket charities and Orphanage that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day, Phuket website .
The tunes title is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the songs sound is a unique up-tempo rock/rock-pop song. Mark wrote and semi studio recorded a demo music guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in 2015 on Phuket and has kept the demo guide since then waiting for the possibility to record once again. In August 2016 Mark began the studio recording process and used local session musicians to record the track durring a six week period. The track consists of 8 differant tracks and all session musicians were from the Philippines, including the female lead artist ‘Micah Javier’.
Even though I’m coming home for Christmas was studio recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was done in the USA because of Mark wanted the most effective outcome and quality. The music is currently ready to be heard and downloaded by going to the ‘Tsunami Day’ Website.
The main aim of studio recording I’m coming home for Christmas is to bring as many folks to the Tsunami Day web site as we are able to and then ideally in-turn they’ll be good enough to give to at least one or all of the Phuket island charities, and to also download the song.
The other primary goal is to have enough downloads of the music to fund and setup a Phuket live music bar with open stage and studio / training room on Phuket, that’ll provide free instructions and tuition to local underprivileged children from the area’s schools and children’s orphanages. Up to now ‘La QingTing’ is not currently open yet but the web site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you’re wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day site to promote his track Tsunami Day that was inspired from his own particular experiences while he was living in Patong in 2004 when the Tsunami hit Patong on boxing day. Just like ‘I’m Coming Home For Xmas’the track Tsunami Day also brought awareness to regional Phuket Charities and Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site there’s numerous methods to help including a Phuket island Hotel and budget flights to Phuket booking system. Every penny helps.
Credits: Mark would like to credit his sponsors: Michael Dietvorst (CEO of Oriental Living), Stuart Baker (GM of Food Hygiene Asia), Alan Cooke ( MBE ), Adam Goodman (GM of Two Chefs Restaurants) and Cassius Rolfe-Johnson (CEO of Phuket Home Services).
