Remember when finding comfort school meant purchasing a few notebooks, a fresh box of crayons, and new shoes? Should you wore a uniform to school, it is likely you got one of those too; otherwise, you got 1 or 2 new outfits. That has been it.
Well, times have changed. The availability list now contains items that was previously given by the schools – like scissors, glue and tissues. Every child uses a new backpack, notebooks, paper, pens (red, blue and black), glue sticks, ruler, tape, scissors, markers, folders plus a calculator. In case you have two children and you shop the sales, you’ll probably still end up paying out over $100.00 in supplies alone. Knowning that doesn’t even count the brand new clothes your youngster “has to have” or even the fees which might be necessary for art projects, lab costs, etc.
Don’t even get me started on the supplies, including furniture and appliances, your child needs for school. Does it ever end?
